Biography
Emily grew up in Marietta, Georgia. She attended and graduated from Walton High School, College of Charleston and Georgia State University College of Law. Emily is admitted to the Georgia Bar.
In law school, Emily participated in mock trial and found that she was passionate about becoming a trial attorney. She earned experience in both the private and public sector, including a judicial externship in Cobb County Superior Court.
As an associate at Cohan & Levy, Emily has focused her practice in matters involving both business litigation and wage and hour disputes. Emily has participated in bench trials and jury trials, depositions and mediations. Emily is determined to achieve the best results for every client.
In the last two years, Emily has second chaired two complex jury trials involving both tort and contract claims. In both cases, our clients prevailed. In fact, in Emily’s most recent trial, in March 2024, Emily and Louis Cohan secured a $65 million dollar punitive damage award.
In addition, Emily is committed to her community and the Bar. Emily is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, and a regular at Litigation Section events. Last but certainly not least, Emily is passionate about animal adoption and rescue and is a devoted cat mom to her rescue from the Atlanta Humane Society.
